Through partnerships with programs like the Kaiser Hawaii Health Access Program and CNHA Kako’o Maui Housing Program, Roots Reborn helps low-income, immigrant families obtain essential health insurance and secure housing. The organization supports community members through enrollment processes and provides translation and on-site assistance to overcome language barriers.
Legal Support and Advocacy
Roots Reborn provides extensive legal support to the immigrant community in Maui through pro bono services and partnership with experienced immigration attorneys. This includes document replacement, legal representation for complex cases, and advocacy against policies that threaten immigrant rights.
Direct Aid + Community Relief
Roots Reborn swiftly distributes direct aid, such as financial support and resources, to the most vulnerable community members based on their unique needs. This includes distributing nearly $200,000 within 72 hours with no wait times and providing food and gas assistance to those affected by the Maui fires.

Roots Reborn is excited to offer a unique Train the Trainer workshop, specifically designed for individuals who currently work with or wish to engage with the migrant and immigrant community. Due to limited space, this opportunity is available to a select few participants.
Loteria Style!
Thanks to our partnership with LUCHA, we will learn a interactive Loteria training method! We believe in approaching learning in a more somatic way, allowing the material to integrate into the body rather than simply talking at participants. This fun and interactive training style ensures that the information is not only retained but also integrated to the body.
Our goal is to make these trainings enjoyable for our community. We firmly believe that learning about rights and protections can be both informative and engaging.
